About Us
Vision
To become the premier provider of applications software and services in South Africa.
History
Dynamic Technology Holdings has its origins in DVT, which was formed Cape Town in 1999 by entrepreneurs Chris Wilkins and Clive Hubbard as a provider of software development services focusing on Microsoft technologies. From a handful of staff at inception, the business grew rapidly over the next five years, performing profitably through some of the most challenging times in the IT industry. This resulted in a focused, efficient and resilient business.
Sustained growth within been achieved by
- expansion into the much larger market of Gauteng during 2004;
- simultaneous diversification into another mainstream development technology, viz. Java;
- the addition of licensed software products to DVT's offering via three small acquisitions.
Core Business
DTH is a holdings company for a number of businesses that
specialise in the delivery of tailor-made software solutions and a
range of software development professional services.
These solutions are developed using a combination of frameworks and
components, packaged software and custom development, primarily
based on the Microsoft and Java platforms.
To deliver these services, the group employs over 180 staff, most of whom are practising IT professionals who deliver solutions across a range of disciplines incorporated into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
The DTH Group companies provide solutions to large and medium sized corporate clients in South Africa; primarily in the Financial Services, Retail, Business Services and Telecommunications sectors. Key characteristics of the target market are an inability to attract scarce technical skills, the need to replenish dated systems, a requirement to outsource complex and expensive software development projects and a backlog of requirements for mission critical software solutions.
